The DWP is paying £108 a week for children under 16 who have one of 57 medical conditions

Many parents may not know they can get financial help from the Department for Work and Pensions if their child has a disability or medical condition and it has an impact on their daily life.

The DWP is urging people who have children with the following medical conditions not to miss out on this vital financial help. Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is given to people with certain disabilities, including those with mobility issues or who need certain care.

For adults, DLA has largely been replaced by other benefits such as Personal Independence Payments (PIP) and Attendance Allowance. New claims for DLA are now only available to children under 16 years in England or Wales:
