Tyne and Wear Metro offering refund claims if journeys are delayed more than 15 minutes than advertised
The Tyne and Wear Metro Service is offering a new refund system which will allow travellers to make claims if their metro is 15 minutes later than advertised
Posted on their twitter, the link points to a Nexus site which offers a refund form where users are asked to input their smartcard or ticket details, the date and time of given incidents, their journey itinerary, as well as their banking details and any other supporting evidence.
The service has been widely criticised in recent years as delays and cancellations have become commonplace, leading some people to see it as business as usual with more impacted days than not.
