UK: Paedophile who shared videos of him raping young boy is jailed
A paedophile who posted videos of himself raping and abusing a young boy online has been jailed.
Aiden Foster, 22, from the West Mislands, made a series of child abuse videos which he posted about, sharing on the social media channel Discord.
He was caught by cooperation between the National Crime Agency and the United States National Centre for Missing and Exploited children, who worked to identify him. They used facial comparison AI to confirm his identity.
Police then raided his home and seized his devices, and were able to match items in his home to the videos, including his own jewellery.
They soon found he had 771 indecent images of children, as well as an instagram conversation where he tried to solicit photos from an 14 year old girl, who’s identity was never confirmed.
He pleaded guilty to 24 offences at Wolverhampton Crown Court. Including three counts of rape of a child under 13, 7 counts of sexual activity with a child under 13, 5 counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity under 13, 7 counts of making indecent images of a child, and 1 count of making “disturbing” indecent images of a child.
He was sentenced 11 years and seven months in prison, and will be on the sex offenders register for life.
