UK: Substance attack update, 3 year old girl and mother may face “life changing injuries”

Last night an “corrosive substance attack” taken place in Clapham, South London. Here’s the latest set of updates on the situation.

• A man attacked a family with a corrosive alkaline substance on Wednesday night
• A 31 year old mother, as well as her 3 and 8 year old daughters are now in hospital.
• Their injuries are not life threatening, but they may be “life changing.”
• Several others, including police, were also injured in intervening, taking the total number of victims up to 8
• They were attacked while in a car
• The perpetrator escaped, first by car, then by foot and has not yet been caught.
