Urgent appeal to support two Golden Retrievers abandoned in Sunderland

🟡 Two beautiful golden retrievers were found dumped in Sunderland — no collars, no leads, no food — clearly abandoned. My partner and I have taken them in, giving them a loving, safe home.

Today we took them to the vet. Both dogs were microchipped, but the chips weren’t registered. We also discovered they were illegally imported from Bulgaria for breeding.

Harper, the older dog, appears to have arthritis but is otherwise healthy. Sadly, Mabel, the younger one, has been diagnosed with a stage 3 heart murmur — potentially life-threatening.

We urgently need a heart ultrasound for Mabel to assess the murmur’s severity. The scan will cost £1,000, and while we’re caring for these girls, we aren’t officially their owners yet.

We’re raising funds to cover this critical procedure. Any support would mean the world and help save Mabel’s life. 💛
