16 year old boy becomes 6th youth arrested over bar arson

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested this morning in connection with the fire that broke out at Eskimo Joe’s bar on Victoria Road, Hartlepool, on Monday 14th April.

He is currently in police custody and will be questioned about the incident.

This marks the sixth arrest in the case. Three boys—aged 15, 14 and 11—were arrested shortly after the fire, followed by two 13-year-olds on Tuesday 15th April. All five were released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or footage to contact them on 101.
