Role Overview
- Bartender role at The Mayfair Pub & Kitchen in Newcastle city centre
- Permanent position available full-time or part-time
- Busy late-night venue popular on match days, karaoke nights and weekends
- Shifts may run until 2am on weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks quickly and accurately
- Take orders and recommend drinks to customers
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area
- Monitor guest behaviour and check IDs in line with licensing laws
- Restock products and inform the team when supplies are low
- Process cash and card payments and manage customer tabs
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months bartending experience in a bar or pub
- Strong hospitality and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm during busy periods
- Basic understanding of food handling and hygiene standards
- Cocktail knowledge is beneficial but training can be provided
- Availability to work weekends and busy evening shifts
