Retail Sales Merchandiser

Salary

• £12.71 per hour.

Job Type

• Part-time.
• Temporary contract until 2 January 2027.

Location

• Gateshead (NE8 1EJ).
• Travel to different stores within the assigned area may be required.

Working Hours

• 1.5 hours per week.
• Shift pattern: Friday.
• Flexible working hours, with shifts completed anytime during store opening hours.
• Applicants should be available to start as soon as possible.
• Annual leave cannot be authorised during December due to the busy Christmas trading period.

• Retail Sales Merchandisers provide in-store merchandising support and maintain strong relationships with host retailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Merchandise jewellery displays in line with company visual merchandising guidelines.
• Put out new stock deliveries.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and presentation standards.
• Set up promotional displays and seasonal campaigns.
• Build positive relationships with host store management teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve product sales and display effectiveness.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Work alongside a Team Leader who will provide coaching and ongoing support.

Skills and Experience Required

• Previous customer-facing experience is essential.
• Previous retail or sales experience is preferred.
• Experience working with fashion brands is desirable.
• Friendly, polite and professional approach.
• Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
• Comfortable working independently while following company standards.
• Confident using technology and mobile applications.

Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving licence.
• Access to your own vehicle.
• Access to an Apple or Android smartphone with an up-to-date operating system.
• Updated CV required as part of the application process.
