Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate and support staff in delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Promote individuals’ physical, emotional and mental wellbeing
- Act as a key contact for individuals, families and external health professionals
- Support independence, choice and community participation
- Work with the Registered Manager to implement and review care plans and risk assessments
- Supervise, support and develop staff through inductions, competency checks, spot checks and supervision
- Manage rotas once issued and report changes to the Registered Manager
- Participate in the on-call rota and maintain accurate on-call logs
- Monitor medication, finances, incidents and safeguarding concerns
- Escalate issues appropriately
- Maintain accurate records
- Ensure compliance with Magnus Care Ltd policies, procedures and CQC requirements

About The Role
Magnus Care Ltd is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant/Team Leader to lead and support staff in delivering high-quality, person-centred care in Wallsend.
Reporting to the Registered Manager, the successful applicant will help coordinate care, support individuals’ wellbeing and promote independence, choice and positive outcomes.
The role includes supervising and developing staff, supporting inductions and competency checks, managing rotas and participating in the on-call rota. The successful applicant will also act as a point of contact for individuals, families and external health professionals.
The Senior Care Assistant/Team Leader will work with the Registered Manager on care plans, risk assessments and support strategies, while monitoring medication, finances, incidents and safeguarding concerns.
The role requires a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes with valid MOT and business insurance. An enhanced DBS check with satisfactory clearance is also essential.
