Aramark is looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to join its catering team at the ITC Vimy Warrant Officers & Sergeants Mess at Vimy Barracks, Catterick Garrison. This is a permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing quality food, working in a busy kitchen and delivering excellent catering services.

Hours: 35 hours per week, five days out of seven
Shift Patterns: 6am–1:30pm or 11:30am–7pm
About The Role
You will prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as fine dining for special events. You will work alongside a team of catering professionals to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and kitchen safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals using quality ingredients.
- Cater for breakfast, lunch, dinner and special events.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and support new colleagues.
- Manage stock, place orders and maintain accurate kitchen records.
- Follow recipes, portion-control requirements and presentation standards.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP procedures.
- Support kitchen deep cleans and complete required food safety paperwork.
Skills And Requirements
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Good attention to detail and pride in food presentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in high-volume bulk catering is desirable.
- Ability to pass security vetting and DBS checks.
- UK residency for the previous three years is required.
