Elior UK’s Caterplus team is recruiting a Sous Chef, also advertised as a Second Chef, to join the kitchen at Charles Dickens Lodge in Barnard Castle. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking fresh food and providing a warm, welcoming dining experience for residents in an over-55 community.

About The Role
You will help ensure meals are prepared to a high standard while keeping the kitchen clean, well-presented and properly stocked. You will also contribute to friendly customer service and help maintain food safety and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food to a high standard.
- Keep the kitchen and service areas clean, organised and well-stocked.
- Stay up to date with menus and available dishes.
- Provide residents with warm and friendly service.
- Follow COSHH, food safety and health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with the catering team to maintain quality and consistency.
