About The Role:
Laneway & Co is looking for a Cafe Chef to join its team at its Tynemouth cafe. The cafe serves breakfast, brunch and lunch alongside its coffee offering.
The successful candidate will work with the front-of-house team to deliver high-quality food and collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and create new dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver the cafe’s breakfast, brunch and lunch menu.
- Maintain consistently high food standards.
- Work closely with the front-of-house team and Head Chef.
- Contribute ideas for new dishes and menu development.
- Work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
- Support colleagues and contribute to a close-knit team.
Requirements:
- At least one year of kitchen experience.
- Availability to work most weekends.
- Ability to travel to the cafe for early starts, including 6am.
- Experience working under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm, reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
- Experience in an independent cafe environment is an advantage.
