About The Role:

Evac+Chair is looking for a Service Technician to carry out planned and reactive servicing, installation, repairs and preventative maintenance of its products at customer sites.

The successful candidate will help ensure service visits are completed on time and to the company’s quality standards, while delivering excellent customer service and following health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive on-site servicing using company checklists and procedures.
• Install Evac+Chair products at customer premises.
• Plan and book service visits using the company’s service planning system.
• Use customer servicing and facilities management systems to maintain compliant documentation.
• Build effective working relationships with service engineers, planning, sales, training and customer experience teams.
• Identify potential sales leads during service visits and share them with the sales team.
• Complete and submit digital service reports after each visit, including photographs and written notes.
• Attend monthly service meetings online and quarterly meetings at the Midlands Head Office.
• Submit monthly stocktake reports to Operations.

Requirements:

• At least two years’ experience delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Experience in problem-solving and hands-on technical servicing.
• Strong customer service skills and a commitment to a positive customer experience.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify customer needs.
• Experience in maintenance, engineering, field service or a similar technical role.
• Experience delivering planned and reactive services at customer sites.
• Experience working in a field-based role covering a geographical area.
• Proficiency with tablets, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using digital expense and mileage management systems.
• Confidence using laptops, presentation technology and digital learning resources.
• GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• A full, clean UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience And Qualifications:

• PPM experience in medical devices, health and safety, fire safety or emergency evacuation.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures, evacuation and fire safety legislation.
• Experience using Joblogic or CRM systems.
• Knowledge of Evac+Chair products and their safe operation.
• Understanding of emergency evacuation plans, disability awareness and inclusive evacuation practices.
• Knowledge of Class I medical devices and related regulatory requirements.
• A relevant degree or higher-level qualification.
• First Aid, Fire Safety or Health & Safety qualifications.
• Experience servicing medical devices.
