Ambulance service issue statement after serious collision on Sunday evening at Dalton Park Roundabout

The North East Ambulance service has issued a statement following a serious collision on Dalton Park Roundabout on Sunday evening.

The road was initially closed on Sunday night with police having put a diversion in place.

The ambulance service stated: “We were called to a road traffic collision on Barwick Road, Seaham at 7.38 this evening. We dispatched two double crewed ambulances, a clinical team leader and a specialist paramedic. We were also supported by Great North Air Ambulance’s medical car.

“We transported one patient to Sunderland Royal Hospital and two patients were treated and discharged at the scene.”
