About The Role
Apollo Doors is recruiting a Fitter’s Mate/Trainee Door Engineer to work alongside a fully trained Door Engineer, installing and working on various types of industrial doors.
Previous experience with roller shutters or industrial doors is not essential, although experience in engineering or fabrication would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist a trained Door Engineer with work on industrial doors.
- Use hand tools and power tools as required.
- Carry out manual and physical tasks, including lifting.
- Work safely at heights.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain a professional and friendly approach when dealing with customers and colleagues.
Requirements
- A full, current UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to undertake manual work and physical duties.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Enthusiastic, hardworking and able to work well within a team.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to pass a DBS check for security purposes.
Apollo Doors is based in Washington, but the advert states that candidates should be based in the Billingham or Hartlepool area.
