Working Hours: Monday To Friday, 8am–5.30pm, Plus Alternate Saturdays, 8am–12pm

Arnold Clark is recruiting a Service Advisor to join its Motorstore, MG, BYD or Vanstore branch in Shiremoor. The successful candidate will help deliver an excellent customer experience for people bringing their vehicles in for servicing and repairs.

The role would suit someone with customer service experience who enjoys helping customers, resolving issues and maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle customer requirements for vehicle servicing and repairs professionally and efficiently.
• Liaise with the workshop and bodyshop to progress work.
• Manage computer-based jobs, purchasing and invoicing processes.
• Explain vehicle faults and recommended repairs to customers clearly and accurately.
• Handle customer complaints with empathy and reassurance.
• Maintain accurate customer records, vehicle details and service histories.
• Keep the customer database up to date.
• Maintain knowledge of aftersales products and services and upsell where appropriate.
• Ensure customer and company financial interests are protected.

Essential Skills And Requirements:

• Strong customer service skills and confidence resolving issues.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of IT systems.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strong organisation and workload prioritisation.
• Ability to schedule work around customer needs and workshop capacity.
• Willingness to follow established processes and guidelines.
• Accurate administration skills.
• A full UK driving licence.

Previous experience in upselling products or services is desirable but not essential.
