About The Role
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is recruiting a Maintenance Plumber to join its team in Gateshead.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, plumbing repairs, installations, testing and fault-finding across water supply and mechanical systems. The role also involves supporting general building maintenance and helping ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair, install, replace and test water supply systems, including pipes, valves, fixtures and outlets.
- Install pipework and plumbing fixtures in accordance with drawings, specifications and relevant regulations.
- Maintain waste and vent pipe systems using appropriate equipment.
- Support contractors and site teams with plumbing work during projects and equipment installations.
- Carry out plumbing safety inspections and planned preventative maintenance.
- Inspect and maintain backflow prevention devices where appropriately certified.
- Assist with general building maintenance duties.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and equipment breakdowns.
- Support colleagues with plumbing guidance and basic training when required.
- Follow health and safety requirements and company procedures.
Skills And Qualifications
Candidates should have:
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Plumbing.
- Previous experience in a maintenance plumbing role.
- Good knowledge of plumbing systems and maintenance practices.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time-management and organisational skills.
- A flexible, customer-focused approach.
