About The Role

Eurochange is recruiting a Retail Sales Assistant to join its team at Eldon Square in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The successful candidate will help customers with foreign currency exchange, provide advice on travel money and recommend suitable products and services. The role involves delivering friendly, professional customer service while ensuring transactions are processed accurately and in line with financial regulations.

Full training and support will be provided to help the successful candidate develop their skills and deliver excellent customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Build relationships with customers and understand their travel money needs.
• Recommend suitable products and services.
• Explain exchange rates and currency options to customers.
• Process transactions accurately and follow financial regulations.
• Maintain a secure, clean and welcoming bureau.
• Promote additional products and services where appropriate.
• Help keep the bureau running smoothly when the manager is absent.
• Support new colleagues during onboarding.
• Work at nearby branches when required.

Skills And Experience

• At least one year of experience in retail sales, cash handling and customer service.
• Friendly, confident and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail when handling transactions.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with customers.
• Sales skills and a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Flexibility to work independently and travel to nearby locations when required.
