JOB NEWS: Fountain Court Cafe is hiring an Experienced Cafe Cook/Supervisor in Gateshead on a Part-time and Permanent basis.

SALARY
£13.50 per hour

JOB TYPE
Part-time, Permanent

HOURS
• Approximately 10 hours per week.
• Regular two-week rota.
• Week 1: Saturday and Sunday.
• Week 2: Tuesday and Wednesday.
• The rota then repeats.

ABOUT THE ROLE
• Independently run a small cafe for two days each week.
• Prepare and cook homemade meals.
• Prepare breakfasts, sandwiches and other hot food.
• Serve customers and take payments.
• Open and operate the cafe independently.
• Complete food safety and temperature checks.
• Keep the kitchen and cafe clean and organised.
• Monitor stock and report when supplies are needed.

REQUIREMENTS
• Previous kitchen or catering experience.
• Confidence preparing and cooking meals independently.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Friendly approach and comfortable dealing with customers.
• Reliable and organised.
• Able to work without supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Daytime hours.
• No evening or late-night work.
• Cafe located within an assisted-living home development.
• Mainly serves residents in a friendly community environment.
• Work location: In person.
