JOB NEWS: Gentoo is hiring a Concierge Assistant in Sunderland, with hybrid working available
The role is part-time and pays £26,488.60 per year. It forms part of Gentoo’s 24/7, 365-day operation, providing essential customer support, CCTV monitoring, access control, emergency call handling and coordination of urgent repairs across multi-storey and sheltered housing schemes. The position requires working shifts, including bank holidays.
Key duties include monitoring CCTV and door entry systems, responding to fire alarm activations, handling anti-social behaviour calls, scheduling out-of-hours repairs, liaising with emergency services and Sunderland Council, recording information on internal systems and supporting customers with urgent issues.
Applicants must have experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, strong administrative skills, confidence using Microsoft packages, the ability to multitask under pressure, and excellent people skills. A basic DBS check will be required (funded by Gentoo).
