Job Title: Line Service Operator – Nights

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday To Friday, 11pm–7am

Greencore Group is recruiting a Night Line Service Operator at its Consett site, which produces chilled ready meals for major UK retailers. The successful candidate will support food preparation and production-line operations, helping ensure ingredients and equipment are ready for use.

Full training will be provided to successful applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients as instructed by the Senior Operator.
• Mix meal components, such as rice mixes, using tumblers.
• Ensure machinery is cleaned appropriately after each use.
• Assist with setting up production lines.
• Collect the correct ingredients and equipment from chilled and packaging stores for multiple production lines.
• Ensure the correct utensils are used for meat, vegetarian and allergen-containing meals to help prevent cross-contamination.

Requirements:

• Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Allergen awareness.
• Level 2 Food Safety qualification is preferred but not essential.
