About The Role
HC-One is looking for a dedicated Chef to join the kitchen team at Stoneleigh care home in Annfield Plain.
The successful applicant will prepare and serve nutritious, homemade meals that meet residents’ dietary needs while making mealtimes enjoyable. The role involves maintaining food safety standards and working as part of a caring team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve nutritious, appetising meals for residents.
- Contribute to menu planning and create meals that meet residents’ needs.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Follow Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) procedures.
- Ensure meals are presented to a high standard.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Recognise and report safeguarding concerns and complete relevant training.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- An S/NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality or Professional Cookery.
- A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- A sound understanding of HACCP and food safety procedures.
- Experience cooking and preparing meals.
- Creativity, a positive attitude and a caring approach.
- Good teamwork skills and a commitment to residents’ wellbeing.
