About the Role

Hobbycraft is looking for a General Assistant to join its Stockton-on-Tees store. Working as part of the Store Management Team, you will help deliver an outstanding customer experience while supporting all aspects of the store’s daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys retail, customer service, and has a passion for arts and crafts.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and represent the Hobbycraft brand.

• Build positive working relationships with colleagues.

• Replenish stock and maintain clean, tidy, and well-presented displays.

• Operate the till and accurately process cash, card, and gift card transactions.

• Assist with the Click & Collect service.

• Help minimise stock loss by following stock control procedures.

• Support with changing displays and merchandising.

• Host in-store workshops when required.

• Follow company policies and health and safety procedures.

• Adapt to changing business needs while maintaining high standards.

Key Requirements

• Previous retail experience is desirable but not essential.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Passion for arts, crafts, and creativity.

• Cash handling experience is advantageous.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexible, self-motivated, and enthusiastic approach.
