About the Role

J D Wetherspoon is recruiting Kitchen Staff to join the team at The Mile Castle in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role involves preparing and cooking food, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and supporting the smooth running of the kitchen. No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided.

The role offers flexible shift patterns, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and late finishes, making it ideal for someone looking to build a career in hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present food to company standards.

• Operate kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers, and microwaves.

• Work as part of a team to meet quality and service targets.

• Follow food hygiene, allergen, and health and safety procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness throughout shifts and complete kitchen clean-downs.

• Rotate stock and store food safely.

• Complete all required training and contribute to continuous improvement.
