About The Role

Hooters Restaurant is looking for a passionate and energetic Line Chef to join its kitchen team in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The successful candidate will help prepare and cook high-quality dishes, maintain consistent food standards and support the kitchen team during busy service periods. This role offers an opportunity to develop cooking skills in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and creativity.

Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but is not essential, as enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are also valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, marinating and assembling food according to recipes.
• Cook menu items while maintaining quality, consistency and presentation.
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Support the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Keep workstations organised and clean.
• Store ingredients correctly and maintain a tidy kitchen.
• Work with other chefs on daily specials and menu changes.
• Ensure dishes are served promptly and presented to a high standard.

Skills And Experience

• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
• Knowledge of food safety and proper ingredient handling.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
