Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean properties between guests
- Hoover, dust, polish and tidy properties
- Change linen between guests
- Maintain the presentation of properties for guests and owners
- Monitor household stock and basic supplies
- Report maintenance issues and replacement requirements
- Pay attention to the individual details and requirements of each property
- Travel between properties across the Alnwick area
Requirements
- Full driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle, as travel between properties is required
- Availability on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays is preferred
- Good team spirit
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- No previous cleaning experience required, as full training is provided
About The Role
Host & Stay is recruiting Housekeepers/Cleaners to look after its portfolio of holiday properties in and around Alnwick, including locations such as Seahouses and Amble.
The role involves thoroughly cleaning properties between guests and ensuring homes are presented to a high standard for both guests and property owners. Duties include vacuuming, dusting, polishing, tidying, changing linen, monitoring household supplies and reporting maintenance issues.
The position pays £13.50 per hour, with travel time between properties paid. Host & Stay offers permanent, fixed-term and zero-hours contracts, providing flexibility for different working arrangements.
Applicants must have a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle because the role involves travelling between properties. Previous experience is not essential, as full training is provided.
The main changeover days are Mondays, Fridays and Sundays, although weekday availability is also possible. The company says it supports employee wellbeing and is a Disability Confident Employer.
