ABOUT THE ROLE
• Diagnose faults and repair a range of mobile phones and electronic devices
• Use hand tools and specialist equipment to disassemble, repair and reassemble devices
• Troubleshoot hardware issues including screen and battery replacements and component repairs
• Analyse schematics and technical diagrams to identify faults and determine repair procedures
• Carry out maintenance checks to ensure devices perform correctly
• Repair computer hardware components connected with mobile device functionality
• Assist with computer networking systems supporting device operations
• Maintain detailed records of repairs and parts used
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience or training in mobile phone repair or electronic device maintenance
• Mechanical knowledge of small electronic components and assemblies
• Proficiency using hand tools for electronic repair
• Familiarity with computer hardware, schematics and basic computer repair
• Knowledge of computer networking principles relevant to device connectivity
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy workshop
