About The Role

J D Wetherspoon is looking for friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Bar Staff to join its team in Gateshead.

You will help serve food and drinks, provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the pub.

No previous experience is required, as training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Take customer orders and prepare and serve drinks to the correct specifications.
• Serve drinks at the bar and through the customer app.
• Deliver food to customers, check their satisfaction and clear plates promptly.
• Welcome customers, thank them and build positive relationships.
• Keep up to date with promotions, events and new products.
• Maintain cleanliness by clearing tables, wiping surfaces and checking toilets.
• Wash glasses and restock fridges.
• Keep floors and the beer garden tidy.
• Support other areas of the pub when required.

Requirements

• Proof of the right to work in the UK.
• A bank account in your own name.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English for training and job duties.
• A fixed home address within reasonable travelling distance of the workplace.
• Basic computer skills.
• A friendly attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
• Ability to remain calm in a busy environment and work as part of a team.
