About The Role:
J D Wetherspoon is looking for friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Floor Staff to join its team in Houghton-Le-Spring. The role involves serving food and drinks, providing excellent customer service and helping maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the pub.
No previous experience is required, as training will be provided. Applicants should have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to stay calm in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take orders and prepare and serve drinks to the required standard.
- Deliver food to customers, check on their experience and clear plates promptly.
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
- Keep up to date with promotions, events and new products.
- Clear tables, wipe surfaces and carry out toilet checks.
- Wash glasses, restock fridges and help keep floors and beer garden areas tidy.
- Assist in other areas of the pub when required.
Requirements:
- Proof of the right to work in the UK.
- A bank account in your own name.
- Ability to communicate in English and understand training instructions.
- A fixed place of residence within reasonable travelling distance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliability, a friendly attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
Working Arrangements:
Flexible shifts are available, including mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes. Guaranteed-hours and variable-hours contracts may be available.
