About The Role
J D Wetherspoon is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Staff to join its team in Crook.
You will help prepare and cook food, keep the kitchen running smoothly and maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and customer service.
No previous experience is required, as training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present food to the required specifications.
- Operate kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers and microwaves.
- Work with the kitchen team to meet time and quality targets.
- Follow food hygiene, allergen, health and safety requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout shifts, including full kitchen clean-downs.
- Rotate stock and store food safely.
- Complete induction, role-specific and refresher training.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Proof of the right to work in the UK.
- A bank account in your own name.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English for training and job duties.
- A fixed home address within reasonable travelling distance of the workplace.
- Basic computer skills.
- A friendly, reliable attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work as part of a team and remain calm under pressure.
