Role Overview
- Part-time Baggage Hall Agent role at Newcastle Airport
- Fixed-term contract until 31 October 2026
- 30 hours per week with shift work between Monday and Sunday
- Airport logistics role supporting baggage handling operations
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort and load baggage onto conveyor belts and handling systems
- Use automated baggage handling equipment to scan and track luggage
- Ensure compliance with airline and airport security procedures
- Coordinate with airline staff and ground crews to prioritise baggage
- Maintain cleanliness and safety within the baggage hall area
- Report equipment faults or safety hazards to supervisors
- Assist passengers with lost or delayed baggage enquiries
Requirements
- Valid full European manual driving licence
- Ability to pass airport background checks
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical fitness to lift and move baggage
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
Desirable Experience
- Experience in logistics, warehouse work or baggage handling
