HOURS
• Monday to Friday
• Typical working hours: 8am–4pm
• Future requirement to join an out-of-hours callout rota may apply
HOLIDAY
• 22.5 days’ annual leave
• Rising to 25 days after 5 years’ service

ABOUT THE ROLE
Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions is looking for a Mobile Fabric Maintenance Technician to carry out building maintenance and repairs across Royal Mail sites in the North East.
The role involves using practical skills including carpentry and wet trades to help keep buildings safe, secure and well maintained.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry out planned and reactive building fabric maintenance and repairs
• Use carpentry and wet trade skills for a variety of maintenance tasks
• Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repairs
• Work independently across multiple Royal Mail sites
• Liaise professionally with customers and colleagues
• Work closely with other maintenance and engineering technicians
• Follow relevant health and safety procedures
REQUIREMENTS
• Practical experience in building, property or facilities maintenance
• Good knowledge of carpentry and wet trades
• Practical building maintenance and repair experience
• Good problem-solving skills
• Strong health and safety awareness
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Basic computer literacy, including email and electronic management systems
• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points
