Summary
Royal Mail is recruiting a Postperson with Driving for its Jarrow Delivery Office. The role involves delivering letters and parcels across the local community while providing excellent customer service in a physically active outdoor role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and parcels safely and efficiently
- Drive Royal Mail delivery vehicles
- Provide friendly customer service to local residents
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Support delivery office operations when required
Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Good organisation and punctuality
- Friendly and community-focused attitude
- Comfortable with walking long distances and physical work
Shift Pattern
- Working 5 days across Monday to Sunday
- Shift times between 09:00–15:00 and 14:00–19:00
- Sunday working required
