Shop Assistant Manager – St Oswald’s Hospice (Sunderland)
Salary: £23,875 per annum (Full-Time Equivalent)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 22.5 – 30 hours per week (Monday to Sunday)
Location: Sunderland
Closing Date: 15 March 2026
OVERVIEW
- Part-time management role within charity retail
- Based at St Oswald’s Hospice shop in Sunderland
- Supporting shop performance and daily operations
- Working flexibly across the week
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Shop Manager in day-to-day operations
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Assist with stock control, merchandising and displays
- Support and supervise volunteers
- Help drive sales and meet store targets
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous retail experience
- Experience supervising or supporting a team
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Passion for charity retail and community support
