Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and cook healthy meals and snacks for children
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen
- Follow all food hygiene and allergen procedures
- Keep accurate food safety records
- Support the nursery team during outings and special events
Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- 9:30am – 2:30pm
- Term Time Only
Requirements
- Experience cooking in a professional kitchen (nursery, school or similar preferred)
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- Knowledge of Safer Food, Better Business (SFBB) procedures
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Warm, positive attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good organisational and time management skills
About The Role
Sunshine Nursery is recruiting a Nursery Cook to join its team. The successful candidate will prepare nutritious meals for nursery children, maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, keep food safety records and support the nursery team during outings and special events.
