ABOUT THE ROLE

The Cook/Chef will prepare high-quality meals while maintaining restaurant standards for food quality, presentation and safety.

The role offers an opportunity to work in a lively kitchen environment where teamwork and creativity are encouraged.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare a variety of dishes with consistency and attention to quality.
• Follow established recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in line with food safety regulations.
• Assist with meal preparation during busy service periods.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate ingredient or supply requirements to management.
• Serve food efficiently and courteously to guests.
• Support the team in maintaining a safe, hygienic and efficient kitchen environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking or culinary roles within a restaurant or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in meal preparation.
• Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Enthusiasm for learning.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
