Police confirm two Washington teenagers found safe

Northumbria Police say two missing teens who were last seen in Washington four days ago have been found.

Maisie Proctor, 14, and Demi Dunne, 13, had last been seen at around 1pm on Friday.

Family and officers were said to be growing increasingly concerned for their welfare with a public appeal launched on Tuesday afternoon.

On Tuesday evening, Northumbria Police confirmed that Maisie and Demi had been found safe and well.
