Working Hours: 30–40 Hours Per Week

About The Role:

Manjaros Restaurant is looking for an experienced Front Of House team member to join its Newcastle restaurant. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service.

Training will be provided to successful applicants in line with Manjaros’ procedures, with potential progression to a supervisor position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers and show them to their tables.
• Take food and drink orders.
• Serve food to customers.
• Clear, clean and reset tables.
• Answer telephone calls and process takeaway orders.
• Carry out cleaning duties, including sanitising surfaces and sweeping floors.
• Reconcile daily cash transactions.
• Follow opening and closing procedures.
• Help control waste and comply with company policies.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service.

Requirements:

• At least one year of restaurant or relevant hospitality experience is essential.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to follow procedures and maintain high standards.
• Availability to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, including two or three weekend days.
• Availability for 30–40 hours per week.
• Ability to arrange transport home after 11:15pm.
