Chelsea 1-2 Sunderland – Match Report
The Black Cats come back from behind to defeat the World Champions thanks to a 93rd minute goal from Chemsdine Talbi.
Sunderland we’re absolutely brilliant today, thoroughly deserving all 3 points, and now sitting in 2nd in the Premier League!
Chelsea scores early, against the run of play, as Sunderland started really brightly, but we’re caught lacking at the back, as Garnacho got away on a counter attack, and struck the ball between Robin Roefs legs.
Sunderlands heads didn’t drop, and their pressure prevailed, as Wilson Isidor scored his 4th goal of the season to put Sunderland level.
Mukiele launched in a long throwing, which caused mayhem in the penalty area, as Bertrand Traore struck the ball towards goal, and the blocked shot fell to Wilson Isidor, who poked it home.
Both teams had plenty of chances throughout, in a game that was end to end for the most part.
As the game was coming to a close, Chelsea began to pile on the pressure, but Sunderland’s back five did absolutely outstanding to keep them at bay.
Chelsea we’re putting on a huge amount of pressure in the dying moments, and Lutsharel Geertruida picked up the ball on the edge of the area, and he hoofed up and unbelievable ball to Brian Brobbey.
Brobbey held up the ball fantastically inside the Chelsea penalty area, waiting for support, and Chemsdine Talbi was free on the edge of the box.
The Sunderland striker picked him out perfectly, and Talbi took the shot on first time and curled the ball into the bottom corner, leaving Sanchez helpless to score his first goal for Sunderland.
Chelsea now sit 7th, but they could drop as far as 12th, depending on tomorrow’s results.
