Do You Recognize These Men? Police Appeal For Information on Armed Herrington Robbers

Northumbria Police have issued an appeal for the identities of two men after shops in East Herrington and Farringdon were robbed on monday night at knifepoint.

At 7.20pm and later at 10pm, staff in both Mills Newsagents and the Co-op on North Moor road were confronted by the hooded bandits who brandished knives and threatened staff, running off with cash afterwards. Although nobody was hurt, those involved have nonetheless been traumatized.

Police are now seeking to identify the culprits using CCTV footage.

Detective Inspector Andy Richardson, of Northumbria Police, said: “This type of criminality simply will not be tolerated and a team of detectives are now carrying out various enquiries in a bid to identify those responsible.

“I am today releasing images of two men who we want to speak to and am asking the public for help in tracing them. Do you recognise them, or think you know who may be?

“We want to speak to them in connection with both incidents and would encourage them to come forward and make themselves known to police.
