ABOUT THE ROLE
• Transport goods efficiently and safely to various locations.
• Ensure deliveries are completed on time.
• Provide professional service to customers.
• Maintain high standards of safety and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including flatbed lorries.
• Load and unload goods carefully and ensure items are secure during transit.
• Plan delivery routes to improve efficiency and minimise delays.
• Verify delivery orders and obtain customer signatures.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and vehicle logs.
• Carry out routine vehicle inspections.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Communicate with dispatchers and customers about delivery schedules and issues.
REQUIREMENTS
• Proven delivery driving experience, preferably with a commercial driving background.
• Familiarity with flatbed vehicles and handling different types of cargo.
• Strong driving skills and a clean driving record.
• Good organisational skills.
• Ability to navigate using GPS devices or maps.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Punctual and reliable approach to work.
