About The Role:

Dylan’s Philly Cheesesteaks is recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Chef as it prepares to open its second site in Newcastle. This is a hands-on role preparing ingredients, cooking and serving a focused menu of Philly cheesesteaks and sides while maintaining consistently high food standards.

The successful candidate will join a small, fast-paced team and have the opportunity to contribute to the development of an independent food business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare garnishes, sauces and other ingredients.
• Cook Philly cheesesteaks to a consistently high standard.
• Prepare and cook sides.
• Serve customers and provide a positive customer experience.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and efficient.
• Work alongside a server in a small team during busy periods and confidently work alone on quieter days.
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Maintain portion control and presentation standards.
• Assist with stock rotation and deliveries.
• Contribute to the smooth running of a fast-paced kitchen.

Candidate Requirements:

• Professional kitchen experience.
• Confidence working independently when required.
• Ability to work quickly without compromising food quality.
• Pride in cleanliness and organisation.
• Reliability, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Enjoyment of interacting directly with customers.
• A genuine passion for good food.

Experience with grills, flat-tops or street food is an advantage but is not essential.
