Availability Requirements:

• Sunday: 6am–11pm
• Saturday: 4pm–11pm

Tesco guarantees a minimum of 16 hours per week for this role, although positions with 12 hours per week may also be available.

About The Role:

Tesco is looking for a Customer Delivery Driver to deliver shopping directly to customers’ homes while providing friendly, reliable service. This is an active, hands-on role involving driving, handling groceries and helping customers with order queries.

Drivers will work independently for much of the day, with support from managers and colleagues at the store.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep the delivery van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised.
• Load the van safely and complete vehicle safety checks before driving.
• Communicate with customers about order changes, substitutions and short-dated items.
• Arrange refunds where necessary to resolve customer concerns.
• Handle groceries carefully to maintain product quality.
• Deliver orders within customers’ allocated time slots.
• Provide friendly, professional service at customers’ doorsteps.
• Work with colleagues to maintain good teamwork and customer service.

Candidate Requirements:

• Hold a valid UK, EU or EEA driving licence, full or automatic, for at least 12 months.
• Have no more than three penalty points on the licence.
• Be welcoming and approachable when dealing with customers and colleagues.
• Respond positively to changing customer needs.
• Be comfortable with the physical aspects of delivery work.
