Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality, person-centred care to children aged 5 to 18
- Support children with a variety of needs and requirements
- Work alongside practitioners, Senior Practitioners, Deputies and the Registered Manager
- Encourage and support children to progress positively
- Work with external agencies
- Complete all daily and specific records to a high standard
- Enter required records into the relevant software system
- Follow safeguarding requirements
- Work towards achieving the best outcomes for children in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
- Report directly to the Leadership Team
Requirements
- Right to Work in the UK
- At least six months’ UK experience working in a similar setting
- Five years of professional references
- Enhanced DBS subscribed to the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Knowledge of safeguarding
- Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential is the most desirable qualification
- Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care may be accepted, with three additional units in Children’s Residential Care required
- Candidates without the relevant qualifications will require a full Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
About The Role
ForeverCare is recruiting dedicated Residential Practitioners to provide person-centred care and support to children aged 5 to 18.
The role is described as being for the North Tyneside area, with the advert giving Hallgate House, Sunderland SR2 7DF as the listed job address.
The successful applicants will work as part of a team alongside practitioners, Senior Practitioners, Deputies and the Registered Manager. The role focuses on providing encouragement, understanding, care and patience to help children progress positively and achieve their potential.
Residential Practitioners will work with external agencies and will be responsible for completing daily and specific records to a high standard using the company’s software system. The successful candidate will report directly to the Leadership Team.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, at least six months’ UK experience in a similar setting and five years of professional references. An enhanced DBS check subscribed to the Update Service is required, or applicants must be willing to obtain one.
