About The Role

Marks & Spencer is looking for a confident and people-focused Team Manager to lead its Hospitality team at the Metrocentre store in Gateshead.

The successful candidate will lead from the front, maintain high standards, motivate colleagues and help deliver excellent customer service and strong commercial results in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the Hospitality team to deliver excellent service.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, safety, product availability and daily operations.
• Use commercial information and data to help improve performance.
• Coach, develop and support team members.
• Manage performance and have constructive conversations when required.
• Make confident decisions and adapt to changing business needs.
• Promote an inclusive working environment where colleagues feel valued.
• Support operational excellence and contribute to the store’s commercial results.

• Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced retail or customer-focused environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to use data to drive results.
• Experience coaching, developing and managing team performance.
• Confidence handling challenging conversations professionally.
• A resilient and adaptable approach to change.
• Digital confidence and willingness to embrace new ways of working.
