About The Role

McCoy’s Bakery & Deli is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to support its team with the preparation and production of bakery items.

The successful candidate will help with food preparation, baking tasks and maintaining a clean, organised working environment. Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as the role may suit someone willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the bakery team in preparing and baking a variety of products.
• Measure ingredients and assist with food preparation.
• Help make and finish cakes and other bakery products.
• Follow food safety standards and maintain a clean bakery environment.
• Operate bakery equipment under supervision.
• Assist with stock management and restocking supplies.
• Work efficiently as part of the bakery team.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a bakery, kitchen or food production environment is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• A hardworking attitude and willingness to learn.
