About The Role
Pear Tree Projects Ltd is recruiting a Cleaner to work across its homes and school sites in Darlington.
Established in 1990, Pear Tree provides a therapeutic environment to help children and young people recover from adverse childhood experiences. The successful candidate will help maintain clean, hygienic, safe and welcoming surroundings for children, young people, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets and kitchen areas to a high standard.
- Keep premises clean, tidy and hygienic.
- Restock cleaning supplies and report when stock is running low.
- Follow health and safety and infection prevention and control procedures.
- Work with management and care teams to maintain safe, welcoming environments.
- Treat colleagues and visitors professionally and respectfully.
What The Employer Is Looking For
Applicants should:
- Have good attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Have a compassionate and understanding attitude towards vulnerable children and young people.
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, including a Children’s Barred List Check.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have their own suitable vehicle for work purposes.
Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
