About The Role

Roseberry Care Centres is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Dolphin View Nursing Home in Morpeth.

The successful candidate will help ensure residents receive nutritious meals prepared and served in a clean, safe and hygienic environment. You will support the kitchen team with food preparation, washing up and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation, including peeling, chopping and portioning ingredients.
• Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and sandwiches, as directed.
• Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Clean kitchen surfaces, floors and storage areas.
• Unpack and store deliveries correctly, following stock rotation and labelling procedures.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety requirements.

• Be able to work independently when required.

A Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate is listed as a requirement. Previous kitchen, catering or care-setting experience is desirable but not essential.
