River Island is looking for an experienced Store Leader to manage its Sunderland store, drive sales and deliver an excellent customer experience. This is an opportunity for an established Store Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in their retail career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive sales, maximise profitability and identify opportunities to improve store performance.
• Monitor key performance reports, competitor activity and trading feedback.
• Ensure store layouts and visual standards meet company expectations.
• Lead by example to deliver excellent customer service and encourage additional sales.
• Recruit, train, coach and retain talented team members.
• Manage team performance and support career development and succession planning.
• Control payroll, staffing levels and operational costs.
• Reduce stock loss and help prevent theft through effective customer service.
• Maintain effective stock management and ensure the store operates smoothly.

What River Island Is Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Store Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready for promotion.
• A proven track record managing retail KPIs, including sales, payroll, costs, stock loss and customer service.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• A passion for delivering an outstanding shopping experience.
• The ability to motivate a team and drive commercial results.
