Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- CPC card
- Digital Tachograph
- Proven experience in multi-drop delivery
- Strong focus on safety and reliability
- Good customer service skills
- HIAB and/or Moffett certification is desirable
- Training can be provided by SIG if required
About The Role
SIG Roofing is recruiting an HGV Class 2 Driver at its branch on Hawks Road in Gateshead.
The successful candidate will play a safety-critical role in the daily operation of the branch, delivering roofing products safely and on time to customers across the local area.
Responsibilities include securing loads, carrying out daily vehicle checks, maintaining accurate transport documentation and delivery records, and providing friendly and professional customer service.
Applicants must hold a valid Class 2 Category C driving licence, CPC card and Digital Tachograph, together with proven multi-drop delivery experience.
HIAB and/or Moffett certification is desirable, although SIG Roofing can provide training where required.
The company offers sociable driving hours, an annual pay award and staff recognition schemes. Employees receive 25 days’ holiday plus 8 bank holidays, with the company also closing during the Christmas period.
SIG Roofing will fund CPC renewals as well as HIAB and Moffett training. The benefits package also includes a pension contribution of up to 7.5%, life insurance of up to four times salary, retail discounts and a Share Incentive Scheme.
